We're a student-led project with the aim of revolutionising air pollution monitoring through our technology. Our talented founders are backed by a team of experienced advisors who are also passionate about the environment and making a difference.

MCompPhil in Computer Science and Philosophy
Anton has been Chief Executive Officer since Airband’s founding in 2018. He has total oversight of the business and is responsible for shaping our overall strategy and aligning resources to ensure we achieve our goals. On a day-to-day basis, Anton co-heads the Product Development group.
Anton’s background in computer science contributes to our research and development efforts and long-term product strategy. He has a particular focus on artificial intelligence, a core component of our developing Data business.

Tanmay is responsible for all electronics and firmware within the Product Development group. Alongside this, he holds key strategic roles in the design, development and testing of our hardware and software products.
Tanmay’s background in the research, design, and integration of electronic components and systems makes him a valuable product-focused voice in our team.
Co-founder, Juno
Chester is the former Global Creative Director for Tesla Motors and Head of Special Projects at Apple. He was part of the team that launched the original Apple Watch, as well as many other products from his time at Tesla.
Originally from the UK but now residing in San Francisco, he brings years of product experience to the team.

Jamie sits on Airband's advisory board and provides strategic and commercial direction.
Jamie brings extensive business expertise having worked in Fintech, Investment Banking and in startups, where he's had a hand in raising over £10m in funding. He’s currently the Co-founder & CEO of Shepherd, a VC-backed tech startup driving the future of work by making meetings more efficient.

Johanna sits on Airband's advisory board with a focus on sales and marketing.
Johanna Kriisa is Co-founder & CEO of Fluō, an urban mobility start-up. She has a wide variety of commercial business experience and has worked closely with Infiniti, McLaren, Morris Commercial and numerous startups. She was previously Head of Strategy at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, and has held management positions within Sales, Marketing and Finance at BMW Group in Munich, the US and Sweden.
Johanna Kriisa
Co-founder & COO, Counterfactual
Head of EMEA Entrepreneurship, iGEM
Huw sits on Airband's advisory board and helps guide our technology and innovation strategy.
Huw is a serial entrepreneur and very active startup mentor. He is currently building Counterfactual, a new 'impact venture studio' building new companies in the plant- and cell-based proteins industries. He was COO of cultivated meat startup New Age Meats, co-founder of community renewable energy consultancy SCENE, and CEO of sports nutrition startup Fuelit. Huw previously spent six years at National Grid. He holds an MBA from the University of Oxford.
